About Athome Designers

Athome Designers is an Australian business based on the beautiful Gold Coast, Queensland.
The owner Stella (me) started playing with web designing out of sheer boredom.
I had a computer that I could turn on without to much difficulty, play a few games and actually connect to the net to check emails and chat. Clever hey.
Then some bright spark said I had a brain not to mention a great imagination and should consider doing something constructive. Their suggestion - " Design your own webpage"
Well the 1st time I viewed the source on a webpage I almost fainted, who in their right state of mind would want to learn/know all that garbage?
But, being the curious (naive) person I am I thought there must be an easy way to do this.
Yea there is dumbo, use a program, but not being 1 for doing things the easy way I set about learning HTML.
My first attempt, well let's not go there, wasn't very successful but after about 2 months I actually put my 1st website on the net, whoohoo!!
10 years later I have been involved in doing some pretty impressive sites (well i reckon so)
I still DON'T use a program, and although my sites may not always look as impressive as some, I pride myself in knowing that I am a Webpage Designer, not a program user!
I'm still learning something new/different everyday.
I can actually (pretend) be business like and serious but that would take all the joy I get out of creating something special.
So if you want a fast loading, economical, no bells 'n' whistles website that tells the world EXACTLY what your business is all about why not give us a go.
